    Position Summary:


    Responsible to fulfill multiple branch functions while assisting the branch manager in all phases of branch operations and sales. Assumes responsibility for the branch in the branch manager’s absence. Provides leadership and operational support towards the achievement of branch goals by identifying cross-sell opportunities and referral of customers to appropriate business partners. Accountable for ongoing training and development of branch staff.


    Major Duties & Responsibilities:

      • Responsible for the overall branch operations. Maintains up to date knowledge of branch security including all branch policies and procedures.
      • Performs a higher level of customer services, including but not limited to opening new accounts, processing of loan applications and complex customer inquiries. Explains available products and services while gathering customer information utilizing the needs based sales approach.
      • Promotes products and services by referring customers to the appropriate business partners based on customer needs and captures interactions using our customer relations management software This includes but is not limited to loan, business and investment services.
      • Ensures accurate processing of transactions including savings, loan and checking. Including but not limited to bond redemption, cash advances and safe deposit box payments. Processes teller transactions during peak times.
      • Utilizes the Walden Savings Bank Sales and Service Model to identify cross-sell opportunities and refer customers to appropriate business partners. Completes monthly branch and teller audits, ensuring compliance with branch policies and procedures.
      • Responsible for the preparation of required reports for branch internal performance objectives, business volume, deposits, loan portfolios and quality of audit reports.
      • Conducts regular one on one meetings with all branch staff.
      • Oversees Relationship Banker/Head Teller in the daily, monthly and quarterly branch proof.NOTE: This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.     Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combined education and work experience.
    • Three to five years working in a financial institution.
    • Notary License required

    • Excellent sales, interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to recognize customer needs in or to refer products.
    • Excellent attention to detail, computer and organizational skills.
    • Ability to supervise, monitor and evaluate the work of others.
