  • Overview

    Responsible to fulfill multiple branch functions including teller and platform services. Provides exceptional customer service, such as opening of loans, accounts and assisting with customer inquiries of bank products in addition to performing teller transactions. Utilizes the Walden Savings Bank Sales and Service Model to identify cross-sell opportunities and refer customers to appropriate business partners.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides a complete range of branch services, including opening new loans and accounts, processing teller transactions and cross selling bank products and services. Gathers customer information utilizing the needs based sales approach.
    • Ensures accurate processing of transactions including savings, loan and checking. Including but not limited to wire transfers, stop payment requests, savings bond transactions, cash advances and safe deposit box payments. Performs a higher level of services including complex transactions and customer inquiries.
    • Assist customers with account maintenance questions both in the branch and via telephone.
    • Responsible to remain up to date on bank products, services, policies, practices and procedures.
    • Promote bank products and services by referring customers to appropriate business partners based on needs and captures customer interactions using our relationship management software. This includes but is not limited to loan, business and investment services.
    • Responsible to balance cash drawer daily. Ensures discrepancies are reported to the supervisor.
    • Assist supervisors in daily branch operations and sales activities.
    • Ensures that the teller station and branch are properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.

    Qualifications

     

    Education & Experience:

    •  High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Successful completion of in-house training program.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 

    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Superior delivery of customer service.
    • Excellent attention to detail and computer skills.
    • Ability to recognize customer needs in order to refer products.
