  • Overview

    The Mortgage Loan Servicing Manager's primary objective is to ensure compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements, while meeting or exceeding set standards related to the servicing and management of the Bank’s real estate and consumer loan portfolio. This position also requires providing guidance, training, coaching and assistance to the servicing team and other staff interactions within the Bank.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop, implement and maintain a servicing plan, policies and procedures that address regulatory and Bank requirements.
    • Daily interaction and management of the Bank’s FHLMC relationship, and other investors, from a servicing perspective.
    • Provides daily management of servicing activities including new loan setup, billing, payment processing, investor remittance, cash management, escrows, property tax, insurance, UCC's, rate oversight and payoffs.
    • Promptly respond to inquiries from internal and external parties related to servicing.
    • Develop existing staff to expand expertise and efficiently leverage talent and resources.
    • Hire, evaluate and administer disciplinary action when required.
    • Participate in the ongoing establishment of best practices and streamlining within the servicing team.
    • Support any other Bank departments related to the administration of the loan portfolio and all other tasks or special projects requested.
    • Participates in compliance, audit, and other related enterprise-wide initiatives.
    • Provides back up to Senior Vice President of Retail Lending Department.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree or the equivalent level of combined education and related experience.
    • Five years of current and progressive bank experience in a mortgage and consumer servicing capacity, at least two of which are in a management/supervisory position.

     

    • FHLMC and FNMA Seller/Servicer Guideline knowledge and experience mandatory
    • Loan Servicing Compliance and Regulatory interaction experience a must
    • Experience in loss mitigation related to FHLMC
    • Proven leadership and customer service skills required.
    • Requires thorough knowledge of mortgage and consumer loan products, services and practices
    • Knowledge of loan origination, processing and closing duties.
    • Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
