  • Overview

    Walden Savings Bank is accepting applications for Teller Floats. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalant.

     

    Starting pay rate is $12.00 per hour.

     

    Walden Savings Bank provides a two week, paid training program. New Hires are placed in our Teller Development program upon completion of the teller training.

     

    After 90 days of hire and successful completion of teller training and mentoring, the teller pay rate is increased .50 per hour.

    6 and 12 month anniversary, tellers are elible for up to a $1.00 per hour increase, upon passing score of teller test and a manager evaluation.

     

    Applicants will be able to work in any of our branch locations.

     

    Tellers are scheduled 38-40 hours per week with the following work schedule:

     

    Monday - Wednesday 8:00 am - 4:45 pm

    Thursday - Friday       8:00 am - 6:15 pm

    Saturday                      8:00 am - 12:15 pm  (alternating)

     

    Bank Tellers provide exceptional customer service and basic product information to banking customers. Additional responsibilies require tellers to be able to establish rapport with our customers and identify cross-sell opportunities.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for comprehensive, prompt and efficient customer service.  Ensures the accurate processing of basic customer transactions including savings, checking and loan account transactions while adhering to the financial institutions policies and procedures. Transactions also include but not limited to bond redemption, cash advances and safe deposit box payments.
    • Assist customers with account maintenance questions both in the branch and via telephone.
    • Responsible to remain up to date on bank products, services, policies, practices and procedures.
    • Promote bank products and services by referring customers to appropriate business partners based on needs and captures customer interactions using our computer software program PCV. This includes but does not limited to loan, business and investment services.
    • Responsible to balance cash drawer daily. Ensures discrepancies are to be reported to the supervisor.
    • Assist supervisors in daily branch operations and sales activities.
    • Ensures that the teller station and branch properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Successful completion of in-house training program.

    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Superior delivery of customer service.
    • Excellent attention to detail and computer skills.
    • Ability to recognize customer needs in order to refer products.
