  • Overview

    The Sr. Loan Processor / Appraisal Analyst reviews all consumer loans and will be responsible to collect and review any necessary documentation as would be required per bank and investor underwriting guidelines. The Sr. Loan Processor / Appraisal Analyst will be responsible for packaging the loan for underwriting review. In addition, the Sr. Loan Processor / Appraisal Analyst will be responsible for review of all Appraisals received by the department while managing a pipeline, schedule, and any issues that may arise.


    • Independently manage the flow of the Consumer Loan Process, including how they are received, assigned and processed.
    • Independently manage the Appraisal ordering, assignment, and review process.
    • Keep management abreast of issues arising with particular appraisers, as well as be directly involved in the search, vetting, and approval of new appraisers.
    • Must be able to complete all responsibilities as required by a Senior Mortgage Processor, including but not limited to verifying the accuracy of an application, request and review all documentation received, sending proper disclosure as required by regulations, and review (pre-underwrite) the file for potential issues, questions, and risk. (Taking on overflow from Processors when needed)
    • Directly communicate with Mortgage Loan Originator, branch employee, customer, and underwriter in person, writing and/or by telephone in order to obtain initial and missing documentation required to qualify for the loan, including but not limited to income information, asset information, credit authorization, trust agreements, purchase agreements, etc.
    • Keeping up to date on FHLMC and Portfolio underwriting guidelines including any that would directly affect appraisal reviews.
    • Review files for compliance within all applicable regulatory guidelines. (Including all mortgage related regulations where applicable and USPAP).
    • Manage pipeline utilizing reports within allotted turn-around times.
    • Assist closing and servicing department to obtain and clear outstanding suspense items.
    • Assist in training new and current staff in the department and branches on regulatory requirements and additional processing changes.

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
    • Minimum of 6 years residential mortgage processing experience.
    • Knowledge of RESPA guidelines.
    • General knowledge of all mortgage and consumer lending regulations. Regulation Z and Regulation B requirements, and loan documents preferred.
    • Previous experience with Calyx preferred.
    • Strong math and analytical skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
    • Available to work varying hours and overtime if needed.
    • Work effectively in a fast pace environment with low tolerance for error.
    • Work effectively in a team environment
